Game 6 : Rajasthan Royals Vs Delhi Daredevils
With an effective Nannes opening the bowling, the Daredevils also have the skiddy Nehra at their disposal, who might replace Maharoof. This would allow them to get an additional foreign player into the line-up. In the spin department, Mishra did his bit to keep things tight. Gambhir would ideally like to finish off a quota of 8-10 overs between Sangwan , Mahesh, Dilshan and Sehwag.
This is grim, folks. Tait was supposed to scare the bowels of the batsmen, but was way off his radar. Warne was off-colour, , , and Mascheranas and the rest of the bowlers were reaching new lows in sucktitude. Assuming Warne can do his bit, he might have little choice but to bring in Munaf Patel (and Siddharth Trivedi) for Uniyal (and Kamran Khan), and hope that Tait fires, or sit his ass down to bolster the batting line up.
Gambhir-Sehwag- Dilshan-AB and Karthik select themselves in many ways for DD. Leaving out Maharoof for Nehra would allow them to get Warner in, which would allow them to go after the speedsters like a frothing rabid dog on the loose. Gambhir could push himself down to counter Warne, Pathan and the rest of the slower bowlers. The batting line up is quite daunting indeed.
They have a bit of trouble here. Outside of Pathan’s demolishment act and Dogra’s efforts, none of the others really stood out, and one can’t expect Yousuf to fire in every innings. The top 4 failed to fire, and Warnie might like to draft in either Martyn or Lumb into the line up, in favour of Tait.
MTJAG’s Recommended Line-up:
DD: Sehwag, Warner, Gambhir, Dilshan, AB, Karthik, Nehra, Nannes, Mishra, Mahesh, Sangwan
RR: Smith, Asnodkar, Martyn, N. Ohja, Jhunjunwala, Dogra, Pathan, Warne, Mascheranas, Patel, Trivedi
Royals Bowling vs Delhi Batting:
Although both these departments under performed in the first games, I’d place my bet on Delhi’s batting. There’s a lot of quality in their to counter any bowling attack. Delhi WILL set competitive scores all the time. ADVANTAGE DAREDEVILS
Delhi Bowling vs Royals Batting:
Delhi’s bowling has a slight weak spot, there’s a little bit of predictability in there. If Smith/Martyn get their eye in, they could exploit this.EVEN
Daredevils take this one.
